‘Ensure regular power supply’

CHICKABALLAPUR: Union Minister for Law and Justice M. Veerappa Moily has urged the State Government to ensure regular power supply in Chickaballapur district to irrigate horticultural crops.

In a press release issued here on Saturday, Mr. Moily, who is MP for Chickaballapur, said that erratic power supply had caused anxiety among farmers who had cultivated potato, onion, grapes and other crops in the district.

He had written to Energy Secretary K. Jairaj urging him to take steps to ensure regular power supply, he said.
