Maulana’s birth anniversary

KOZHIKODE: The Calicut University is hosting a national seminar and other events on November 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, first Education Minister of free India. The Union government had directed all universities to conduct such programmes on the day, which is now being celebrated as Education Day.

The seminar on ‘Perspectives in Teacher Education’ is intended to give the participants a peek into research, innovations and best practices being followed in this field. A quiz and essay writing competition, and an education procession will be held.
