Stage set for confrontation

BANGALORE: The stage appears to be set for a confrontation between the Bar and the Bench as members of the Advocates’ Association of Bangalore have decided to abstain from courts on Monday in spite of the High Court staying the association resolution calling for a strike.

AAB president K.N. Putte Gowda told The Hindu on Saturday that though the court had asked advocates not to refrain from attending courts, they would go ahead and abstain from courts.
