Held on charge of betting

The City Task Force arrested a jeweller and two of his friends on the charge of betting. They were caught in a jewellery shop in Prasada Gardens on Friday night. K. Shankar Rao and two others were betting on the outcome of a cricket match between New Zealand and Pakistan. Later they were handed over to One Town Police Station. Rs.1.07 lakh, seven mobile phones and a colour TV was seized from their possession.
