New KSRTC bus service from Tuesday

Madikeri: A new Rajahamsa daily bus service will be introduced between Bangalore and Mangalore via Madikeri by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) from November 10, according to a press release here on Sunday. Vivek Poovaiah, who heads the Movement for the Welfare of the Community and Environment, a non-governmental organisation working closely with the KSRTC, said in the release that the bus would depart from Bangalore at 11 p.m. and reach Gonicoppa at 5.30 a.m. the next day. It will ply via Mysore, Hunsur, Thithimathi and reach Gonicoppa.

From Gonicoppa, the bus will take the Polibetta, Ammathi, Siddapur and Chettalli route to reach Madikeri at 7.30 a.m.

The bus will leave Madikeri at 7.45 a.m. and take Sullia and Puttur route to reach Mangalore at 11.30 a.m.

In the return direction, the bus will depart from Mangalore at 3.30 p.m. and reach Madikeri at 8 p.m. It will reach Gonicoppa at 10.30 p.m. and take the Hunsur, Mysore and Mandya route to reach Bangalore the next day at 5 a.m.
