Goel demands audit of Games’ funds

NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leader Vijay Goel has demanded that the Centre immediately ask the Auditor General of India to order an audit of all funds sanctioned and used for the Commonwealth Games up till now and present a report by January 1 next year.

In a statement, Mr. Goel said the Centre must also order the Delhi Government and the Organising Committee to put up details of every expense incurred on the website within three days. “This would act as a self-audit and help curb misuse of funds,” he added.
