Yeddyurappa to hold separate talks with Shettar ‘No question of dropping any Minister’ BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who returned from Delhi late on Sunday night, said that he would hold consultations with party legislators and Ministers on Monday. At a late night press conference, he told presspersons that he would also finalise the schedule for his proposed tour to the flood-hit areas after meeting his ministerial colleagues. He added that he will hold a separate consultation with Speaker Jagadish Shettar, who had been projected as an alternative leader by the rebel group. Mr. Yeddyurappa remained guarded when asked about the details of the compromise formula which had been worked out in Delhi earlier in the day. “You will see a new Yeddyurappa from tomorrow,” he remarked. When asked about the proposal to drop Ministers from his Cabinet, the Chief Minister only said that the question of dropping any Minister did not arise. He said that Central leaders were slated to visit Bangalore within the next three to four days, and further details will be revealed only then. Mr. Yeddyurappa also appealed to the party MLAs who are camping in resorts to return to their constituencies as soon as possible. Meanwhile, sources close to Mr. Shettar said that he is still holding on to his decision not to join the ministry alone, unless his followers were also given ministerial berths along with him. Tourism Minister and rebel leader G. Janardhan Reddy went to Hyderabad from Delhi to meet the rebel MLAs who are camping there. Mr. Reddy is expected to return to the city on Monday. At the Chief Minister’s official residence, where the mood had been grim and tense for the past few days, smiles were back on the faces of Mr. Yeddyurappa’s supporters upon hearing that the warring factions had patched up in Delhi. MLAs and Ministers, who had been avoiding the media since the stalemate began, volunteered to speak to pressspersons on Sunday.
