Flu: one more dead

Thiruvananthapuram: Influenza A (H1N1) infection has claimed its 22nd victim in the State, with laboratory confirmation that Khadija, 24, of Makkaraparamba, Malappuram, who died on Monday while undergoing treatment for severe pneumonia had contracted the H1N1 virus. On Monday, nine more cases of H1N1 were confirmed across the State, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 1,207. Throat swab samples of 57 new flu suspects were sent for testing. — Staff Reporter
