SGS promises quality, affordable fabrics

VIJAYAWADA: The Mumbai-based SGS fabric manufacturing company aims to produce high-quality fabrics at affordable prices to meet the challenges of globalisation, said its director Kishor Rathi here on Tuesday.

He was addressing a press conference on the occasion of the fabric display of SGS suiting and shirting at Hotel Seven Days on Pinnamaneni Polyclinic Road.

Fabric display of Hemlon shirting, produced by another Mumbai-based company Hema Dyeing & Printing Mills Pvt. Ltd., was also organised on the occasion. Both products are being distributed by the city-based Kishore Fabrics Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Rathi said latest technologies, looms and electronic equipment were being used in the manufacturing of their fabrics to make the product user-friendly and eco-friendly. “Our products are known for their rich quality, durability and competitive edge,” he claimed, adding that the company had reached a turnover of Rs. 110 crores.

Kishore Fabrics’ representatives said they had taken distribution of the SGS fabrics in coastal area and the exhibition was receiving good response.

They said that the range of their quality and cost-effective products was from Rs. 114 per metre to Rs. 275 per metre.

Mr. Rathi said world class products were being manufactured at their company with Swiss technology looms giving them the much-needed competitive edge over others.
