Municipal Commissioners transferred in the district

VIJAYAWADA: As part of a major reshuffle of officials of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department, the State government on Tuesday transferred the commissioners of municipalities in Krishna district and those working in different posts in the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

V. Ravindra, Secretary in the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation , was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Mandapeta. His place will be taken over by D. Issac Babu, Municipal Commissioner, Kadiri.

Another change affected in the VMC is in the post of Project Officer of Urban Community Development (UCD) wing. The incumbent, D. Chandra Sekhar, was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Peddapuram.

However, nobody was appointed as Project Director in the VMC. P.M. Satyaveni, who was working as Municipal Commissioner, Machilipatnam and presently under judicial remand after she was arrested by the ACB sleuths while accepting bribe, was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Narsapur. No replacement was named for this post either.

B. Ramamohan, who is working Municipal Commissioner, Narsapur, was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Jaggayyapet in place of A. Venkateswarlu, who was transferred as Municipal Commissioner, Commissioner, Palamaneru;

C. Obulesu, who was working as Municipal Commissioner, Gudivada, was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Kothagudem. His place will be taken over by B. Nagabhushanam, who was working as Municipal Commissioner, Yemmiganuru.

I.V. Ramana, who was working as Municipal Commissioner, Piduguralla, was transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Nuzvid . T. Brahmaiah, on completion of training, was posted as Municipal Commissioner, Pedana, in the existing vacancy.
