TIRUPATI: The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has not passed any orders yet on the A.P. High Court decision to put on hold the orders issued by the TTD extending the services of P. Seshadri, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Peishkar’s Office, Tirumala Temple. As the TTD’s Executive Officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao is away at Delhi since Sunday on some urgent official assignment, any follow up action on the court order is likely in the next one or two days. The EO is returning to Tirupati only on Wednesday. Sources said that the TTD is also waiting to see the full text of the high court orders before passing any orders deciding the fate of the temple official, better known in the TTD and media circles as ‘Dollar’ Seshadri. It may be recalled that the high court has put on hold the extension orders while dealing with a Public Interest Litigation filed by one, Mangati Gopal Reddy, a Tirupati-resident questioning the propriety of the order when the TTD’s Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) submitted a report alleging the OSD’s complicity in the ‘missing dollars’ case. Meanwhile temple sources said that the moment the Telugu news channels started scrolling the high court orders against his extension, the incumbent official who is virtually an ‘all-in-all’ in the Tirumala temple has reportedly walked out of the shrine and has been keeping himself aloof ever since.
