OIL, ONGC in semifinals

KOCHI: Oil India defeated Chennai Petroleum 25-10, 25-13, 25-13 in the 30th Petroleum Board’s all-India inter-unit volleyball championship at the BPCL Kochi Refinery indoor stadium, Ambalamugal, on Tuesday night.

The victory helped Oil India (OIL) and ONGC enter the semifinals from the three-team Group ‘B’.

Earlier, GAIL pulled off a thrilling 20-25, 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, 16-14 victory over Mangalore Refineries (MRPL) in Group ‘A’. — Principal Correspondent
