SEC nod for talks with APJUDA sought

HYDERABAD: With the model code of conduct in force in view of the forthcoming GHMC elections, Principal Secretary, Health, Medical and Family Welfare, on Tuesday, wrote to the Secretary of State Election Commission (SEC) seeking permission to conduct discussions with representatives of Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors’ Association (APJUDA), who have been on strike.
In a press note, the Director of medical education said necessary action regarding the hike in stipend demanded by the striking APUJDA members would be taken after permission was got from the SEC.
