BSNL selects 7 channel partners for SMB sector

CHENNAI: To address the growing small and medium business (SMB) segment, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.’s Chennai Telecom District has selected seven channel partners based on their financial strength, sales capability and technical competence.
According to a BSNL release, the channel partner empanelment, comprising system integrators and hardware distributors, will deploy a large field sales force to service SMB segment on behalf of BSNL.
Starting with Chennai, it will soon be extended to other parts of the country. Some of the BSNL executives have been appointed channel managers.
BSNL also launched a new Business Unit to target the large and growing enterprise communications market. This will be managed by the account management team and will provide personalised sales and service support.
