Cargo vessel sinks in Arabian Sea

AHMEDABAD: A cargo vessel carrying a soda ash consignment from Veraval Port to Kozhikode capsized on Thursday after travelling 60 nautical miles into the Arabian Sea between Jafrabad and Diu here. However, there was no casualty, Gujarat Maritime Board officials said. All 11 crew members on board ‘Indramani’ escaped in a safety boat when the ship started sinking after being caught in rough weather. — PTI
