HASSAN: A 23-year-old woman hanged her two-year-old daughter from the roof of her house with the help of a sari on Thursday night and later committed suicide in the same manner, in Chennarayapatna taluk. The police have identified her as Fatima. Her daughter is Afrin. It was said that she was deserted by her husband Roshan, a resident of Wilson Garden in Bangalore, six months ago. Roshan was said to have ill-treated her often and had also threatened to kill her if she raised an objection to his proposed second marriage.
