Select students of Kautilya Vidyalaya go parasailing on Children’s Day

MYSORE: Children of Kautilya Vidyalaya celebrated Children’s Day on Saturday in an adventurous manner by parasailing.

The school and National Adventure Foundation (NAF) had organised the event. Children were selected for the event based on their health and interest towards adventure activities.

Each student was towed behind a vehicle while attached to a specially designed parachute. As the vehicle drove off, the student was carried into the air to a height of about 150 ft.

The children enjoyed every moment of being in the air.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shankare Gowda inaugurated the event and called upon the children to develop interest in adventure sports as they would help them to build confidence.

Kautilya Vidyalaya chairman Raghu, principal L. Savitha, headmistress Nivedita and NAF director Rukmini Chandran were present.
