Nellore: Leaders of Telugu Desam, CPI, CPM and Lok Satta parties staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate and organised rasta rokos at several places in the district demanding that the government to stop illegal mining activities being carried out by Obulapuram Mining Company in Anantapur district. Following the call given by the State party committees, the leaders organised rasta rokos at Nellorepalem, Buchi and at Gudur towns in Nellore district on Monday. . Later, the protestors submitted a memorandum to the Collector.
