Bullayya College wins

VISAKHAPATNAM: Dr. L. Bullayya College won the Andhra University inter-collegiate hockey and boxing tournaments, which concluded here on Sunday.

Dr. L.B. College topped the super league in hockey with nine points, followed by P.V.R. Trust Degree College (Kakinada) (four points) as runner-up. P.R. Government College (Kakinada) (3) and Sir C.R. Reddy College (Eluru) (1) finished third and fourth respectively.

In the boxing tournament, Dr. L.B. College won six gold medals and two silver medals to claim the team title. The gold medal winners of the college were N. Raja Rao (light weight), S.S. Prabhakar (bantam), N. Narayana Reddy (light), A. Ramesh (light welter), G. Naresh Kumar (welter) and B. Veerendra (middle).

E. Mahesh of PRISM College (fly), I. Bheemalingeswara Rao of Aditya (feather) and Sk.A. Rehaman of PRISM College (super heavy) were the other gold medal winners.
