Anu placed 25th

BANGALORE: Indian triathlete Anu Vaidyanathan finished 25th overall in the Shepparton half-Ironman race in Australia on Sunday.

The race involved a 1.9 km swim, 90 km of biking and a 21.1 km run.

“This was the first race of the season for me Down Under and it was an open race, with a separate section for women competitors. I was happy with my bike time split.

“I should do much better in other the races in Australia and New Zealand,” she said in an email message.
