Coimbatore: Striker Ritesh struck four goals in Stanes AIHSS’s 6-0 win over Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Vadavalli) in the quarterfinals of the Essarpy Ponnuswamy Trophy inter-school football tournament at the Nehru Stadium here on Monday. SRKV, CSI and Sri Gopal Naidu were the other three teams to make it to the semifinals. Inter-varsity footballThe South Zone and all India inter-varsity football tournaments for men, organised by the Bharathiar University, will be held at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University and Bharathiar University grounds from November 25 to 30 and December 2 to 8 respectively. About 1500 players from 70 universities from across the country are expected to participate.
