RWITC cancels Thursday’s races

Mumbai: The first day of the Mumbai racing season scheduled for Nov.15 was cancelled due to the cyclonic conditions in the city and the RWITC has decided to hold the opener on Thursday (Nov. 19).

But Sunday’s rainfall has left the sand track, bund schools and the stable area waterlogged. Hence the Stewards have decided to cancel Thursday’s races too. If the weather permits and underfoot conditions are good the season is likely to get underway on Sunday (Nov. 22).
