Jamia seminar on Muslim alienation

NEW DELHI: The Department of Sociology at Jamia Millia Islamia here is organising a two-day national seminar on “Muslim alienation: Manifestation and challenges” beginning this Tuesday.

The seminar will focus on the problems of ghettoisation of Muslims caused by periodic anti-Muslim riots. The problems include neglect by municipal and government authorities with the result that areas that have a large concentration of Muslims are lacking in basic amenities.
