Workers’ issue turns into fight between MLA, Kinetic chairman

Ahmednagar: The workers’ issue in Kinetic company here has now turned into a direct fight between Shiv Sena local MLA Anil Rathod and company chairman Arun Firodiya.

Police Inspector V.M. Pawar told PTI that both had lodged complaints against each other. According to Mr. Firodiya’s complaint, Mr. Rathod and his party workers threatened him while he was going to Pune and broke window glasses of his car, beat him up and snatched his gold chain.

Mr. Rathod alleged in his counter complaint that Mr. Firodiya had asked them to quit the office and threatened him with death at the hands of contract killers if Sena interfered in the company affairs. The MLA also complained to the police that Mr. Firodiya snatched his gold chain, beat him and his party workers. Sena said the company had suspended 36 employees, whereas the company denied it and said the 36 employees were given alternative jobs. — PTI
