MD of computer institute nabbed
New Delhi: The Managing Director of a Nainital-based computer institute, who allegedly absconded after cheating hundreds of people to the tune of crores of rupees, has been arrested here, police said. Israt Khan, a resident of Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, was alleged to have had made crores by fraud giving franchisee of his non-registered institution to more than 8,000 people in six States by projecting his institute as an international one, the police said.
During interrogation, Khan purportedly revealed he and his associates had opened ICABA International Computer Institute at Jolikot in Nainital.
He gave franchise of their computer institute to about several people and went traceless after fraudulently collecting huge sums from them, police said. -- PTI
