TCS to host quiz on IT

CHENNAI: Tata Consultancy Services will host the 2009 Chennai edition of ‘TCS IT Wiz Quiz’ on November 26. The quiz is open to students of Classes VIII to XII. The schools are allowed to send multiple teams (two members per team). The 2009 edition was launched in Bangalore and will travel to different cities.

According to a press release, the quiz is expected to reach out to two lakh students.

Winners would walk away with laptops and the runners up get cameras and digital photo frames. Also, the six finalists get an array of prizes such as backpacks, watches to MP3 players.

The quiz would focus on application of IT across various sectors such as internet, unique web sites, IT buzzwords and acronyms, advertisement of IT and communication companies, software products and brands and the history of IT.

Entries from the institutions must reach before November 24 the Quiz Coordinator, TCS, 21/22 Elnet Software City, TS 140, Block 2 & 9 CPT Road, Taramani, Chennai - 113.
