Rural development staff stage demonstration for regularisation

THANJAVUR: Members of the Rural Development and Local Administration Employees’ Association staged a demonstration before Panagal Building here on Friday in support of their demands. Krishnamurthy, district president of the association, led the agitation.

They demanded that the operators of Overhead Tanks working in village panchayats and other places should be regularised. Vacancies in rural development and local administration department should be filled up. Equipment and rain coats should be supplied to technical staff of the department.
