Villagers lock up ‘Indiramma’ officials

SANGAREDDY: Demanding payment of pending bills of Indiramma housing, beneficiaries in Kurthivada village in Papannapet mandal locked up officials who came to participate in ‘Grama Darshini’ programme which would be organised every Friday.

In another case, about 150 villagers staged a dharna in front of the MPDO’s office at Narayanakhed demanding payment of wage arrears for the work completed under NREGS. They alleged that around Rs. 1 lakh for the work done in the past was not paid.
