Match meanders to a draw

HYDERABAD: Twenty-three-year-old Rujul Bhatt scored 186 on the last day of the Ranji Trophy Super League match between Gujarat and Hyderabad which ended in a tame draw at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium here on Friday.

The scores:

Super League: At Mumbai: Mumbai 162 and 335 for seven decl. bt Himachal Pradesh 246 and 166 in 67 overs. Points: Mumbai 5, HP 0.

At Amritsar: Punjab 228 and 248 in 76.2 overs (P. Dharmani 56, R. Ashwin five for 116) lost to Tamil Nadu 521 for nine decl. Tamil Nadu 6, Punjab 0.

At Hyderabad: Hyderabad 236 and two for no loss in two overs drew with Gujarat 536 in 166.3 overs (Niraj Patel 58, Parthiv Patel 105, Bhavik Thaker 54, Rujul Bhatt 186, A. Makda 53). Gujarat 3, Hyderabad 1.

At Bhubaneswar: Railways 307 for eight decl. in 125 overs (V. Cheluvaraj 88) drew with Orissa 132 for four in 79 overs (Shiv Sunder Das 41). Orissa 1, Railways 1.

At Rajkot: Saurashtra 544 for three decl. drew with Maharashtra 289 in 134.1 overs (Rohan Bhosale 82, Ganesh Gaikwad 45, S. Jobanputra four for 55) and 162 for five in 69 overs (Kedar Jadhav 111 not out). Saurashtra 3, Maharashtra 1.

At Ghaziabad: Baroda 234 and 331 in 104.5 overs (Connor Williams 96, Rakesh Solanki 42, Yusuf Pathan 78, Praveen Gupta four for 83) drew with Uttar Pradesh 240 and eight for one in five overs. UP 3, Baroda 1.

Plate division: Madhya Pradesh 308 for five decl. in 117 overs (H. Kanitkar 68, D. Bundela 84, S. Abbas Ali 57 not out) drew with Andhra 145 for six in 82.2 overs (B. Sumanth 51 not out). Andhra 1, MP 1.

At Guwahati: Jharkhand 261 and 247 in 84.2 overs (Saurabh Tiwary 121, Rajiv Kumar 42, S.P. Gautam 40, Dhiraj Goswami four for 37) drew with Assam 298 and 99 for nine in 46 overs (Parvez Aziz 46). Assam 3, Jharkhand 1.
