Construction of houses inspected
VILLUPURAM: As many as 763 dwelling units are being built at a total cost of Rs 17.95 crore in vulnerable coastal areas in Villupuram district under the Rajiv Gandhi Rehabilitation Pacakage programme, according to K.Dhanaveli, Project Director, Tsunami Rehabilitation Project.
Accompanied by Collector R. Palanisamy, he recently inspected construction work in Koonimedukuppam, Keezhputhupattu, Bommaiyarpalayam, Anumanthai and Pillaichavadi. While 450 houses are coming up in coastal areas, 313 dwelling units are being built in Vanur and Marakkanam blocks.
