Power theft

BANGALORE: A fine of Rs. 1.1 lakh was imposed on the owner of a flour mill in Ranjanagi village of Mudhol taluk on the charge of power theft. The Bagalkot Vigilance Team of HESCOM, during a drive against power theft last week, found that the flour mill was drawing power directly from distribution lines. A criminal case was also booked against him.
