Special veterinary camps

KARUR: The Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited, Department of Animal Husbandry and the TANUVAS conducted a series of special veterinary camps in the villages neighbouring the TNPL’s Kagithapuram plant in Karur district recently.

The villages covered included Moolimangalam, Pudhukurukkupalayam, Masagoundanpudur, Thathampalayam, Pazhamapuram, Ponniya Goundanpudur, Nanaparappu and Thottakurichi.

More than 172 cows, 760 goats and sheep, 357 buffaloes, 24 bulls, 23 dogs and hen were screened and treated at the camps.

TNPL General Manager (Operations) Mani, General Manager (Human Resources) Francis Devotta, Prof. Senthilvel of TANUVAS, and Veterinarian Nagaraj of the Department of Animal Husbandry aided in the conduct of the camps.
