Beach project inspected

CHENNAI: Deputy Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on Saturday asked the Chennai Corporation to install messages about government schemes and pictures of the Marina Beach beautification at its bus shelters.

Speaking to mediapersons after inspecting the beach beautification project, which is nearing completion, he said the work was taken up in February 2008 at a cost of Rs. 31.67 crore. This includes the park opposite the Secretariat at a cost of Rs.10 crore and renovation of a pedestrian subway at Rs.35 lakh.
