Three held for murder conspiracy

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The police on Saturday arrested a readymade garment seller, Mohd. Abdul Munaf and two others who were allegedly hired by him to get two of his business partners killed following a monetary dispute.

Munaf, the prime accused and Abdul Khadeer and Shafiuddin, with whom he struck a deal to pay Rs. 50,000 to murder Shakeel and Shameem, were remanded to judicial custody, Commissioner’s Task Force Inspector Maddipati Srinivas Rao, said. Munaf charged that Shakeel and Shameem made him invest Rs. 4 lakh in the business of readymade garments offering a share in profit.

“He maintained that the duo did not give him his rightful share in the profit even after all the clothes were sold off. Moreover, Shakeel allegedly threatened to get him killed for insisting on return of money,” the Inspector said. Then, Munaf approached Khadeer and Shafiuddin seeking revenge on his business partners. Three hunting sickles were seized from the arrested persons.
