Two-wheeler rental agencies closed

PUDUCHERRY: Over 25 agencies offering two-wheelers on rent a have been closed as part of a drive against illegal agencies operating in the town. The drive was launched 10 days ago as two-wheelers in these agencies were being used for commercial purposes without permit and licence, resulting in loss of revenue to the government. Transport Department said owners of these agencies have applied for licences and permits for over 100 vehicles, so that they may be used for commercial purposes.
