This Day That Age
Dr. Y. Nayudamma, Director, Central Leather Research Institute, in a speech in Madras, expressed the view that there was great scope for increasing exports in leather goods to Europe, provided the exporters secured foreign collaboration in “finishing” the raw materials. Dr. Nayudamma was giving his impressions of the tour of the Continental countries, at a meeting organised by the Leather Export Promotion Council in Vepery, on November 18. Mr. Nazir Hussain presided over the function. Dr. Nayudamma said there was great demand for Indian goat skins though there was competition from Africa.
