Music and dance competitions in Jan.

HYDERABAD: Navya Nataka Samithi is organising the 43rd All India Competitions in Music and Dance in association with YMCA.

Competitions in music will be conducted in the disciplines of violin, vocal, veena, mridangam, sitar and tabla, while those in dance include Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Andhranatyam and Kathak.

Niranjan Shaw Rolling Trophies, each costing Rs. 30,000 will be awarded to the winners of the first prize, a press note from the Samithi informed on Sunday.

Accommodation will be free for the out-station participants during the 8-day competitions.

For rules, syllabus and application forms, one may contact the organisation at 1-8-522/12, Chikkadpally, Hyderabad-500020 or YMCA, Narayanaguda, Hyderabad-500029. Last date for applying is December 3. The competitions will be held in January.
