Man critical after elephant attack

KOLLAM: A 48-year-old man, Sudarsana Babu, who was gored by a tusker, Sivankutty, early on Sunday continues to be in a critical condition at Travancore Medical College Hospital here. Hospital authorities said though his condition had improved, he continued to be critical. Mr. Babu is a member of the Perur Karinellur Bhagawathi Temple committee. The elephant is owned by the temple. Mr. Babu had gone to the temple to inspect the food given to the animal when he was gored by it. — Staff Reporter
