Man convicted in arson case

BERHAMPUR: The fast track court I of Phulbani in Kandhamal district on Tuesday convicted one Naresh Kanhar in relation to the arson at Phiringia police station during the communal violence in December 2007.

He was punished with five years of imprisonment.

In another case the G.Udaygiri Member of Legislative Assembly Manoj Pradhan was acquitted in a murder case related to communal violence of August 2008 pending against him.
