Pompa Babbar ICF General Manager

CHENNAI: Pompa Babbar on Tuesday assumed charge as General Manager of the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. She succeeds M.S. Jayanth, who has been transferred to South Central Railway as General Manger. Earlier, Ms. Babbar was Advisor (Finance), Railway Board.

Belonging to the 1975 batch of Indian Railways Accounts Services, she has worked in various capacities as Divisional Railway Manager (Alipurdar Division of NF Railway) and Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer in Western, Central and Northern Railways. She was also senior professor at the Railway Staff College, Vadodara, and General Manager (Accounts) while on deputation to the Gujarat State Electricity Board between 1995 and 1998. — Special Correspondent
