Viva Kerala in semifinals
KOCHI: Viva Kerala bounced back strongly after conceding an early goal and defeated Malabar United 2-1 in the third Navy Week all-Kerala football tournament at the Fort Kochi Parade Ground on Tuesday night.
The victory carried the Kochi-based Viva to the semifinals.
Asif stunned Viva by putting Malabar United ahead in the seventh minute which the team held on till the end of the first half. But Viva charged back in the next session, scoring through K.P. Anish (47th minute) and M.P. Sakeer (63rd).
There will be no match on Wednesday. — Principal Correspondent
