Medicine shop in Kothavalchavadi burgled

CHENNAI: Burglars broke into a shop selling indigenous medicine in Kothavalchavadi in the early hours on Monday and decamped with cash.

The Kothavalchavadi police said the shop belonging to Mangelal (39) on Strotten Muthaih Mudali Street was targeted by the burglars after he had locked it on Sunday.

The incident came to light after he found the front lock of the shutter broken. A total of Rs.30,000 in a cash box went missing, police added.
