New CLB chief to take over on Friday

NEW DELHI: The government has asked Dilip Rao Saheb Deshmukh, new chief of the Company Law Board, to take over on Friday itself, four days before his scheduled date of joining, as the arrest of presiding chairman R. Vasudevan has left the board crippled.

A retired judge of the Chattisgarh High Court Deshmukh, who is replacing S Balasubramaniam as the CLB chairman, was to take charge on December 1 only. — PTI
