Karimnagar Dairy celebrates Milk Day

KARIMNAGAR: The Karimnagar District Milk Producers’ Mutually Aided Cooperative union limited celebrated the birthday celebrations of Verghese Kurien, the ‘Father of White Revolution’, as ‘Milk Day’ on Thursday.

The Karimnagar Dairy celebrated the ‘Milk Day’ coinciding with the dairy’s achievement of crossing milk procurement of one lakh litres per day.

The meeting was also aimed to educate the milk producers to increase the milk production in the district by rearing hybrid milching animals.

The meeting was presided over by Karimnagar Dairy chairman Ch Rajeshwara Rao. Zilla Parishad chairman A. Laxman Kumar, legislators Etala Rajender, K. Eshwar, Ch Vijaya Ramana Rao, S. Devaiah, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao, KDCCB chairman K. Ravinder Rao, Krishna Dairy chairman M. Janaki Ramaiah, Visaka Dairy chairman A. Tulasi Rao,and others also participated and empowered the farmers to increase the milk production to earn more profits.
