This refers to the incisive analysis of the divisive role the Bharatiya Janata Party, in cahoots with the RSS and the VHP, played in exploiting a virtual non-event for improving its political fortunes (“‘Non-event’ to orchestrated movement,” Nov. 26). The party is to blame for making a peaceful country a fertile ground for fundamentalism and a sitting duck for terrorist attacks. S. Balu, Madurai Abdul Rashid War, Chennai I do not really understand the need for a report on the Babri Masjid demolition. The truth is known to the whole world. The first and the last step that is to be taken is to conduct an unbiased trial of the accused.
