Botanical garden to mark Tamil meet

CHENNAI: A world-class botanical garden will be established in Coimbatore to commemorate the World Classical Tamil Conference in the city from June 23 to 27, 2010.

It will come up on land currently occupied by the Central Prison, which will be shifted in stages to another area, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has said.
