CHENNAI: Six advocates, who have completed 50 years at the Bar, were on Thursday honoured on the Law Day, the day the Constitution was adopted. Those felicitated at the function, organised by the Madras Bar Association, were R. Shanmugam, M. Subramaniam, A. Raghunathan, S.Veeraraghavan, P. Haridas and I. Subramanian.
The honour was in recognition of the senior advocates’ contribution towards the cause of justice and march of law. The Chief Justice H.L.Gokhale presented the citations to the six senior advocates.
Justice Prabha Sridevan administered the Law Day oath.
