An evening of harmonious music

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: What better than Sufi music to cross the communal divide? On December 6, the grim anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition, well-known Sufi and folk singer Mukhtiar Ali will be singing at the Souharda Raaga concert in the city. A singer of the Mirasi tradition from Bikaner in Rajasthan, Ali sings music which presents a blend of mysticism, classicism and folk idioms.

The concert starts at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Commerce College Auditorium, Brigade Road.
