Staff Reporter
MEDARAM (WARANGAL DT.): The district police will be drafting 5,500 policemen for the security arrangements for the ensuing tribal fair at Medaram village in Tadvai mandal.
The district administration will also arrange closed circuit television set to monitor 20 select trouble-prone areas. Inspecting the ongoing works, district Collector N. Sridhar said more pilgrims were expected this time compared to last year. He wanted the R&B officials to widen the road between Pasra and Tadvai and identify free spaces to divert vehicles in case of traffic jam. To facilitate communication network, the BSNL proposes to erect three temporary towers. Mr. Sridhar said the works had been taken up with an estimate cost of Rs. 23 crore. The Rural Water Supply Department would set up 6,000 latrines.
