KAKINADA: A seminar on ‘Make pharmacy your career’ was organised by Pydah College of Pharmacy as part of the 48th National Pharmacy Week celebrations. Vice-president of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association T.V. Narayana, who participated as chief guest, described pharmacy as a noble profession and said that pharmacy graduates had bright career prospects. He explained about the prevailing global trends in pharmacy research, industry and pharmacy market. Job prospectsProf. Narayana, who is also the director of Vikas Institute of Pharmacy, Rajahmundry, spoke about the activities of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association and scope and job opportunities for pharmacy professionals. Secretary of Pydah Group of Educational Institutions Ram Pydah spoke about the importance and purpose of the seminar and advised the students to utilise it. College principal Anbalagan spoke on the various opportunities for pharmacy professionals like pharma outsourcing, generic marketing and clinical trials. He called upon the students to update themselves with the latest trends in the field. Academic Director of Pydah Educational Institutions Ramamurthy and Principal of Pydah College of Engineering Surya Prakash were among those who attended.
